Teaching tricks is like teaching your dog English! (or the human language in general). Why add a dog to the family, and not teach it how to understand us? Everything the dog needs to learn are just simply, tricks and that is why my favourite saying is "Life is just a bag of tricks" :)
It is all positive reinforcement. I never make or force a dog to do anything, but i do convince him/her that its worth doing.
